Homemade Crackers

3 cups of flour
1 T oil
1 tsp salt
1 to 1 1/2 cups of water

Add the flour, salt and oil to a mixing bowl, add about a cup of water maybe a little more. Mix until you can form a ball. Let it rest if you have patience at least 5 minutes. Roll out on parchment paper (you will thank me later ) to a 1/4" thick. Use a pizza cutter and cut into small cracker size pieces, use a fork to poke the dough,

Bake at 300 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes, when checking break up the crackers and stir them around. Often the crackers on the edges of the pan will cook faster. If the crackers are still pliable then put them back in the oven checking ever 5-10 minutes. Pull them out when the crackers are a little flexible, they will continue to get crispy.

Options - add garlic and onion powder or other herbs and spices
Change up the flour white flour, wheat flour, combo, add seed, replace 1/2 flour with drier cheeses like parmesan cheese.

Potato Soup

Potato Soup

4 medium sized Baked potatoes (cold is great)
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped carrots
1-2 tsp Garlic powder
1-2 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Celery salt
Chicken or vegetable broth
½ # bacon (optional) cooked to your preference more if desired

Use a crock-pot for this recipe or on the stove top. Chop up all ingredients and add them to the crock pot or pan. Pour enough broth over the ingredient to cover all of it and add seasonings to taste. You can use water if you do not have enough broth. Slow cooking will bring out the best flavors. Cook in a crock-pot all day.
You will get more flavor out of your potatoes if you are using baked potatoes instead of boiled potatoes.

Grated Asiago cheese
1/4c oil
¼ c. melted butter
1-2 tsp Garlic powdered or minced
1-2 tsp onion powdered or minced

Slice a loaf of the artisan bread and lay on a baking sheet. In a small bowl mix the olive oil, butter, garlic and herbs together. Brush liberally onto each slice. Bake the slices oof bread in the oven for 20 minutes or until toasted to golden brown.
Other option - take a fresh clove of garlic peel it then rub ut all over your sliced bread, then sprinkle with herbs.
Instead of using pasta for spaghetti take your marinara sauce and put over this bread. It is amazing

For croutons cubed the bread and toast, stirring occasionally, until crunchy golden brown.
